Ανεπίσημες εκτιμήσεις των τραπεζών ανεβάζουν πολύ πάνω από το 20% με 25% τον αριθμό όσων μπορούν να ρυθμίσουν δάνεια, αλλά επιλέγουν να μην το κάνουν.

Bad loans are not something new in Greece. In fact, they are as old as the crisis itself. However, no previous Greek government showed any determination to address the issue, as international creditors adopted a similar stance. Since the crisis arose in 2008, Greek governments kept putting the issue on the back burner by blocking efforts by lenders to recover nonperforming loans (NPLs), providing loan holders with protection.

Σε έκδοση ομολόγων Tier 2 προχωρά η Τρ. Πειραιώς με στόχο να αντλήσει κεφάλαια με μειωμένο κόστος και να επιταχύνει τη μείωση «κόκκινων» δανείων με πρόσθετες τιτλοποιήσεις NPEs ύψους 7 δισ. το 2020.

Η χώρα έχει περάσει πολλά, έχει χάσει πολλά, έχει αποκλίνει επικίνδυνα από την τροχιά της ευρωζώνης και δεν υπάρχει κανένα περιθώριο για νέους διχασμούς και τυχοδιωκτισμούς.

In a bid to reach these targets, the bank will move ahead with the 5 billion euro Vega securitization project and the 2 billion euro Phoenix project. This means that the target to slash NPLs in 2020 is being increased to 11 billion euros, up from 6.4 billion euros previously.

Άλυτο παραμένει το πρόβλημα με τις κρατικές εγγυήσεις στις τιτλοποιήσεις, ορατός ο κίνδυνος να επιβληθεί στις τράπεζες συντελεστής στάθμισης κινδύνου μέχρι να φθάσει η Ελλάδα στην επενδυτική βαθμίδα.
