Mitsotakis and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy on Thursday signed a bilateral agreement for cooperation between Greece and Ukraine on security.

Within the framework of the EU, Greece took the initiative to set up a special group (task force) consisting of Arab and European foreign ministers with a mediating role.

The payment request for the grant component was submitted in early June and related to the achievement of 20 milestones and targets of the Greek plan.

Androulakis added that "major efforts were held in those 50 years and you know it better than me but they did not bring the expected results".

He also stressed, however, that "it is obvious that progress, security and prosperity are based on respect for international law and international agreements and as long as our neighbours do not realise this, their European perspective will remain closed."

It aims to protect fundamental rights, democracy, the rule of law and environmental sustainability from high-risk AI, while boosting innovation and establishing Europe as a leader in the field.
