A bill of the Development & Investments Ministry which relates to Greece's future growth and production strategy was approved in a plenary session at Parliament on Wednesday evening.
It was supported in principle by New Democracy party alone, and rejected by all opposition parties.
The plenary was in session over the last three days debating the bill. Speakers included 120 MPs, 6 party rapporteurs and special rapporteurs, 6 party representatives, and 2 party leaders.
The country's new development law will provide the foundation for Greece's new productivity model for many years to come, officials including Development & Investments Minister Adonis Georgiadis said. "If during its implementation we see that some regulations are truly obstructive, we shall amend them, taking into account well-intentioned observations made," Georgiadis asserted.
