Issues related to bank charges that have been imposed on most of their services customers’ transactions are expected to be discussed, among other things, in a meeting on today between the heads of the country’s biggest banks and Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
Referring to the issue during the Economist conference yesterday, Mitsotakis said that "we will discuss (with the banks) how some unjustified charges will be dealt with."We will discuss the issue in good faith and I believe we will find mutually acceptable solutions," the prime minister stressed. On Tuesday Development Minister Adonis Georgiadis called on bankers during the 11th annual conference of the Hellenic Management Association, to “listen to society” so that people do not get the impression that “they consulted each other" over the fees they imposed on cards.
