Based on provisional data, the balance of travel services in June 2024 showed a surplus of 2,861.7 million euros, up from a surplus of 2,680.7 million in June 2023.

Regarding domestic and international aircraft arrivals and departures, there was an increase of 6.9% compared to the corresponding period January - July 2023. In particular, 328,272 flights were carried out, compared to 306,982 flights in 2023.

The increase in tourist flows, added the Minister of Tourism, is accompanied by challenges, such as the effects on the environment as well as the saturation observed in popular destinations.

The plans are part of the ministry's strategic planning for secure island access, upgrade of port infrastructure, and strengthening of territorial and social cohesion, and they come under the Development Program for Contracts of Strategic Importance.

There is evident satisfaction with the results of presumptive taxation at the finance ministry, with revenues from freelance professionals increasing in line with projections.

Greece will be restricted to a 115 billion euro threshold next year, up from around 111.6 billion euros in 2024. New budget will include interventions and relief measures such as a new pension increase.

The ministry said that the purpose is to check immediately 2,504 farms and 436,500 goats and sheep. Up to date, a total of 18,335 animals have already been slaughtered in all of Greece or are slated to be killed.

The new system will be installed for the first time in a rail network in Greece and is estimated to recover up to 4,500 MWh of electricity per year, or 12.5% of the line's total annual consumption.

According to ELSTAT, the deficit of the trade balance in June 2024 amounted to 2.3536 billion euros, in comparison with 2.6107 billion euros in June 2023.
