The Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF) is always a landmark of governmental accountability and planning, Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister Thanassis Kontogeorgis said in an interview with SKAI TV on Friday.
"We want the country to maintain its growth rate and even better, to achieve fiscal stability. But, at the same time, because of the high cost of living and other everyday issues, we have to intensify our effort so that the benefits of the economic growth roll over to everyone. We are also making an effort to distribute this growth dividend proportionately and homogeneously in the region as well. Because regional development and decentralization are necessary," Kontogeorgis underlined.
In this context, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will visit Thessaloniki on Tuesday in order to meet with the productive bodies and the local administration, he added.
He also referred to the compensations to the fire victims and other categories of our fellow citizens. "Our job is to have an immediate restoration by the end of the month", indeed "from next week the payments will start" to the fire victims of Attica. At the same time, "the removal of the fuel has begun and in the next few days the planning for the anti-corrosion works will begin."
