Alternate Finance Minister Theodore Skylakakis, commenting on the budget execution data, said that the September tax revenues were compatible with the targets of the draft budget plan and evidence of strong growth in the third quarter of 2022.

The list follows up on a meeting between Development & Investments Minister Adonis Georgiadis and representatives of supermarket chains in Greece, according to which goods in 31 categories would see zero to very low price hikes.

The finance minister will represent Greece at the introductory meeting of the IMFC where the course and prospects of the global economy will be analysed.

The prime minister underlined that Greece, in the construction of projects such as the metro, has created a "school" in how such infrastructure can be built while also highlighting cultural heritage.

Terna Energy unveiled plans leading up to 2029 to analysts as it presented its first half earnings. The company announced that by 2029 installed capacity will rise to 6.4GW. The total cost of the investment program is estimated at 5.9 billion euros.

The EBRD noted that the strong post-pandemic recovery of 2021 was followed by equally strong growth in the first half of 2022, with rates of 8 pct in the first quarter and 7.7 pct in the second quarter

The president of Enterprise Greece, Ioannis Smyrlis said that the year 2021 was a milestone for Greek exports, which set a record of 40 billion euros, corresponding to 22% of GDP.

Tax returns totaled 3.575 billion euros, up 704 million from targets, while Public Investment Programme revenue was 1.921 billion euros, down 849 million from targets. 

Environment and Energy Minister also referred to the national energy strategy for accelerating the green transition, pointing out that Renewable Energy Sources now represent 40 pct of the country's energy mix and are expected to reach 60 pct in the next three years.
