The new buisiness plan includes drafting policies at ministerial level, providing incentives for introducing electromobility to the national infrastructure, and aligning state policy with the EU's Clean Energy Package and Clean Mobility Package programs.

There are an estimated 1,400 such buildings in central Athens, many of which are listed, that have long been abandoned due to high maintenance costs and massive amounts of red tape needed to complete the procedure. Experts estimate that getting a permit to improve a listed building in Greece takes six years and involves tens of public services.

He also focused on the main axes on which the roadmap for the country's economic course will be based.

Lamda Development on Friday announced another important addition to the group formed ahead of the start of works in the Hellinikon project. Lamda said that the board of directors of the company resolved the sale of the total number of remaining own shares held by the company, to the company under the commercial name 'ORYMIL SA'.

Commercial and residential real estate investments in Greece jumped by more than 120 percent in the first half of the year, the fastest growth rate seen across Europe, according to consultants Savills. The increase is mainly due to buying activity from listed real estate investment companies that spent some 320 million euros, versus 120 million euros in the same period a year earlier, on acquiring offices, hotels, and retail stores.

Germany energy group RWE has expressed an interest in developing offshore wind parks in Greece, more than a decade after its unsuccessful attempt to work with power company PPC on creating coal-powered units.In talks held in Athens earlier this week, RWE officials said they view the Greek market favorably as part of plans to expand in renewable power globally.

Greece Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis is in Brussels, where he will take part in the European People's Party (EPP) Summit and afterwards attend the EU Summit. Mitsotakis intends to raise the migration issue and underline the need for the sharing of the burden among EU member-states.

Investors are turning buildings into multi-purpose accommodation units in central Athens in a bid to get on top of sharply rising real estate prices. Hybrid, or multipurpose, hotels are becoming more popular in the Greek capital as the era of quick profits from short term property rentals is coming to an end.
