It was approved in July 2021, providing an early disbursement of 3.96 billion euros, or 13% of funding allocated by RRF to Greece, in August 2021. Its first request for payment (3.56 billion euros) was made in December 2021 and disbursed in April 2022. Its second request (for 3.56 billion euros) was made in September 2022; its disbursement was approved in January 2023.
Commenting on the application for the third instalment on Tuesday, Skylakakis said, "Greece is a pioneer in implementing its national Plan of Recovery and Resilience.
