Greek stocks end in 58-month record high

Among market sectors, Real Estate (5.74 pct) and Telecoms (3.16 pct) scored big gains, while Travel (0.62 pct) and Trade (0.36 pct) suffered losses.

Greek stocks ended higher in the Athens Stock Exchange on Wednesday, with the general index closing at a 58-month high of 905,64 points, marking a 1.25 pct rise. This is the highest index closing since the 923,03 points recorded on February 25, 2015.

The Large Cap index ended 1.47 pct lower and the Mid Cap index rose 0.16 pct.

Turnover stood at 108.010 million euros in volume of 45,996,739 shares.

Lamda Development (5.91 pct), OTE (3.16 pct), Fourlis (3.09 pct), Coca Cola HBC (2.37 pct), Jumbo (2.37 pct) and Elaktor (2.22 pct) scored big gains among blue chip stocks,

while Public Power Company DEH (1.26 pct), Motor Oil (1.17 pct) and OPAP (0.93 pct) suffered losses.

Among market sectors, Real Estate (5.74 pct) and Telecoms (3.16 pct) scored big gains, while Travel (0.62 pct) and Trade (0.36 pct) suffered losses.

Broadly, advancers led decliners by 75 to 33 with another 26 issues unchanged. Pairis (12 pct) and Perseus (10.68 pct) were top gainers, while Attica Bank (6.82 pct) and Audiovisual (6.67 pct) were top losers.
