SMEs in Greece missing out on Recovery Funds, PASOK-KINAL leader says

Nikos Androulakis said on Monday that SMEs in Greece were not able to get funding either from the liquidity provided by the European Central Bank, nor by the Recovery Fund.

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Greece are missing out on funding and will continue to do so, under the terms the government has set for Recovery Fund support, Movement for Change (PASOK-KINAL) leader Nikos Androulakis said on Monday.

After meeting successively with representatives of chambers and SMEs at his office in Parliament, the newly elected party leader said that "the government of New Democracy (ND) excludes thousands of SMEs from the Recovery Fund, endangering them and their employees, and rolling a large part of their cost over to consumers at a time when high prices are running high."

SMEs in Greece, he added, were not able to get funding either from the liquidity provided by the European Central Bank, nor by the Recovery Fund and they are in danger of being left in the margins of loans and subsidies, and charged Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis with introducing loan criteria for the Recovery Fund that "exclude those who really need them."
