Private building activity up 1.1 pct in June

Private building activity rose 1.1 pct in June this year totaling 1,457 building permits, representing 324,500 m2 of surface and 1.353 million m3 of volume.

As a result, private building activity rose 5.4 pct in permits, 10.8 pct in surface and 1.1 pct in volume compared with the same month in 2018, Hellenic Statistical Authority said on Thursday.

In the first half of 2019, private building activity was up 1.3 pct in permits, fell 7.6 pct in surface and dropped 6.9 pct in volume compared with the same period last year.
