Greek stocks ended marginally lower in the Athens Stock Exchange on Wednesday, following a consolidation session.
The general index fell 0.04 pct to end at 873.13 points, off the day’s lows of 866.71 points. The Large Cap index ended 0.24 pct lower and the Mid Cap index fell 0.60 pct. Turnover was 75.959 million euros in volume of 29,068,845 shares.
National Bank (1.95 pct), ADMIE (1.19 pct) and Titan (1.08 pct) scored big gains among blue chip stocks, while Coca Cola HBC (1.97 pct), Viohalco (1.59 pct) and PPC (1.35 pct) suffered losses. Among market sectors, Raw Materials (1.42 pct) and Health (1.40 pct) scored big gains, while Foods (1.95 pct) and Travel (0.87 pct) suffered losses. Eurobank and National Bank were the most heavily traded securities of the day. Broadly, decliners led advancers by 60 to 48, with another 30 issues unchanged. Interwood (29.63 pct) and SATO (16.28 pct) were top gainers, while Leventeris (24.24 pct) and Proodeftiki (18.18 pct) were top losers.
