The government on Saturday proposed that the Health Ministry's committee of health experts considers the opening of restaurants, cafes and similar establishments on May 25, that is one week earlier than June 1 as was scheduled, government sources reported on Saturday.
However, the consideration should take into account the coronavirus pandemic's latest epidemiological data, sources added.
It was also noted that the opening up of economic and social activity in an organized manner and in compliance with health and safety protocols has so far brought positive results.
They also added that the partial lifting of restrictive measures against the coronavirus pandemic continues in unison with health experts, in view of a steady yet gradual return to a sense of daily normalcy.
