Government spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis referred to a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis at the Maximos Mansion in the presence of Education, Religion and Sports Minister Kyriakos Pierrakakis and Deputy Minister Zetta Makri on the occasion of the start of the new school year, at his press briefing on Thursday. "A series of significant changes were presented for all school education levels" he said.
He also pointed out that the new school year begins with a record number of new teacher appointments, which he underlined shows the government's strategic will to invest in human resources and allows teachers themselves to carry out their work in an environment of security.
Marinakis referred to the high prices noting that the government is escalating the battle against high prices, the inflation is easing while for the second consecutive month food price increases fell below the European average "proving that the moves we have already made are paying off. "The battle to reduce prices is and will be continuous. The relief of households from the effects of the hike in prices is the primary concern of the government", he said
