The process of inspections and recording the damage to buildings and businesses from the fire in Attica begun on Wednesday, wherever access is possible.
In particular, in a framework of cooperation with the Region of Attica and the municipalities, the inspections by teams fromthe General Secretariat of Natural Disaster Recovery and State Aid of the climate crisis and civil protection ministry has begun.
Meanwhile, a total of 4,700,000 euros will be distributed to eight municipalities in northeastern Attica as emergency aid to manage the repercussions of the large fire that broke out initially in Varnavas, the interior ministry announced on Tuesday.
According to a decision signed by Interior Minister Thodoris Livanios, the total will be allocated as follows:
- Vrilissia - 750,000 euros
- Dionyssos - 650,000 euros
- Marathonas - 1,000,000 euros
- Pallini - 150,000 euros
- Penteli - 1,000,000 euros
- Rafina/Pikermi - 300,000 euros
- Chalandri - 500,000 euros
- Oropos - 350,000 euros
